When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
John 5:6
When we are ‘waiting’ on healing, sometimes the greatest risk is taking a leap of faith to accept the work Christ already did on the cross. Healing is always accessible, but our faith is the key by which our needs are accessed. It is always God’s will for us to be free of bondage and pain, but there exists a space of time between need and supply. Faith is the vehicle that gets us across that space. Our willingness to be healed is everything in terms of our ability to receive what God is willing to give. Will we be made whole? The question Jesus asked puts emphasis on the fact that the healing has as much to do with us as it does with the Healer. God is always ready, but we sometimes enjoy the attention from being hurt more than we want the freedom from being healed. Coming to grips with the actions required on our part to receive everything God has made available to us on the cross is an essential part of maturity. Take an active role in your healing. Say yes to every benefit God has made available to you by way of the cross and refuse anything less than complete breakthrough today.
Today’s Confession: God, I take full responsibility for the healing I desire. I receive complete breakthrough from you today by way of the cross. I thank you for every benefit you paid for in blood. I receive it all in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
