7 Signs of Rejection
I was recently doing some writing and speaking concerning leadership and one of the things that I discovered was a common thread that I noticed amongst leaders. A leader is one that leads, pioneers, is on the cutting edge, discovers, and all the other adjectives that describe one that is at the forefront.
If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. (John 15:18)
Coupling the aforementioned with my own personal journey as well I to actually came to the conclusion that in the process of making great accomplishments, leaders are often confronted with rejection.
You could be an entrepreneur, ministry leader, industry head or mom in the home. No matter what you’re leading, you serve a powerful role in the lives of those that you’re leading. Therefore, leading in a healthy space is so very vital. While you can not control being rejected, here is an introductory tool to use to level up in how to identify and respond healthily to rejection.
Here are 7 Signs of Rejection:
Sign 1: Emotional Immaturity
There is a Level of emotional immaturity that may be present within the life of the individual impacted by rejection. Space while their physical body may continue to grow, their emotional life has halted at the point of the rejection.
Sign 2: Craves the Center of Attention
A person that has been impacted by rejection will either be heavily withdrawn, or often crave to be the center of attention.
Sign 3: Self-Centeredness
This many times manifest where there’s an attitude present where “It’s all about me” or “Are you paying attention to me?”

Sign 4: Loneliness & Fear
This attribute of rejection can manifest in a way where there are many people around the individual but they always feel as if they are all by themselves and are unsupported, unloved and uncared for.
Sign 5: Self-Rejection
at the root this behavior linked with rejection is the disapproval of oneself period comma it is an attitude that says, “What I have an who I am is not good enough.”
Sign 6: Loss of Identity
In order to try to accommodate to what other people will like the individual that is dealing with rejection will stop being themselves, and take on other behaviors, and attitudes.
Sign 7: Difficulty Having A Relationship with God
Due to the rejection that individuals have encountered with people, it often carries over into their relationship with God. These individuals have a hard time communicating, trusting or even believing God.
