Romans 8:5-8 – Eliminate Distractions
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Eliminating distractions is a huge part of our walk with God. If you are struggling with focus, I believe we have identified one the #1 ways the enemy distracts us in this video.
Life is busy. Weeks are full of tasks, school is hard, and pretty much everything occupies us from what our primary center ought to be. While we’re battling to balance our lives, we must find time to know God and allow God to mend us and invigorate us. Regardless of whether this is the most or least upsetting week, scriptures are very important as we endeavor to stay focused and eliminate distractions.
The majority of us struggle, to some degree, investing energy with the Bible. Some seasons are easier than others. Interruptions appear to jump all of a sudden, coming from quite a few things: outside turmoil, interior pressure, sleepiness, or essentially an unrestrained psyche. Regardless of whether these are a type of otherworldly assault or simply a fight with our own wicked nature, they remain among us and a gathering with God in his Word. Be that as it may, here are a some scriptures to help you to eliminate distractions.
1. Titus 3:3-7
“For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
2. 2 Timothy 1:6-7
“For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
3. Philippians 3:13-14

4. Colossians 2:13-14

5. 1 Timothy 4:10
“For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.”
6. Titus 1:2
“…In hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began…”
7. 1 Peter 2:5

8. 1 John 3:1-2
“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.”
9. John 3:31
“He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all.”
10. Galatians 3:28-29
